After 3 years of teaching in primary schools in the North East of England, Rory moved to Tokyo to continue his career and to experience life in a very different culture. His whole family follow vegetarian diets, and as such he has been a vegetarian for his whole life. Having had this upbringing, he experienced the growth in popularity of vegetarian food in England and the growing amount of non-meat or fish meals that are available. Now in Japan, he writes about the experiences of a vegetarian, living among the culinary delights in Tokyo.
